Last year I blogged about the end of bus savers.
While many people now use Oyster cards, bus savers were useful for everyone from occasional visitors to London and to those taking groups of people on a one-off trip. Also very handy for those days when your Oyster card has run out or you’re travelling with a friend who doesn’t have one.
So now I’m pleased to see that Caroline Pidgeon and the Lib Dems have proposed a new ticket that could help fill the gap left by bus savers.
A one-hour bus ticket that could let people change buses without paying again is a great idea; and one that Mayor Boris has agreed to consider.
