Rallying for our post office

The Save Essex Road Post Office rally went well; see for yourself on YouTube. We had the Zimmers and the Canonbury Society, councillors and pensioners, shopkeepers, teenagers, and students. We’ve delivered thousands of letters, had hundreds of posters up in the shops. On the day we had megaphones, stickers, banners and a camera crew.
Next Tuesday we have the Council’s South Area Committee meeting, where post Office Ltd reps will hear our protests first hand. Our petition – now over 5,000 signatures strong – has been signed by residents from Islington and Hackney as well as Nick Clegg and Brian Paddick. The petition will be going into Downing Street, with a copy for the Post Office. Will they listen?
