Community bulb planting

I got out the gardening gloves again today to join in with community bulb planting in Morton Road gardens. The Greenspace rangers are out in force; Derek, our local Ranger, has been joined by colleagues from St Mary’s and Mildmay. We have hundreds of daffodil and crocus bulbs, the sun is shining, and we get to work digging and planting.

As well as dodging the dog dirt, we find bits of firework from earlier in the week. One is called ‘Sonic Boom’. It certainly lives up to its name. The bulbs we are planting today may be less dramatic but should have a much more lasting & positive effect.
