NO2ID = NO2Labour?

An interesting posting on Guido Fawkes’ blog suggesting that tactical voting on ID cards may be a factor in the Election. As a NO2ID campaigner, fighting a pro ID Labour MP in a marginal seat, it certainly caught my eye.

Government ministers claim there is growing support for the idea in principle; but in practice voters are more and more sceptical about the costs, effectiveness and feasibility of the scheme. And that’s even if they don’t have philosophical objections to the database state. Will Gordon Brown back down on ID cards? Or will Labour MPs in marginal seats pay the price of his obstinacy when the election comes? Either way the NO2ID campaign look set to claim a victory.
