I see that Emily Thornberry MP is advertising for a “Campaign Organiser” – to help her to take you on at the next general election.
I hope she remembers that political posts cannot legally be financed through Parliamentary Expenses, remember that she has come a cropper already through misuse of her Communications Allowance.
If this new post is not to be financed by the Labout Party in Islington South & Finsbury, perhaps Emily is dipping into her own substantial and deep pockets to pay for staff to run her campaign.
This is a throw back to the 19th Century – when only the wealthiest could afford to stand for Parliament. How very New Labour.
